Redefining "intent" after the election is rather special. I guess you're not afraid of rigging and election to get your result.

I don't like Gore any more than I like Bush so don't respond as if I actually gave a shit about who became president. Ok, now that we got that out of the way...

Come on. If they punched Gore and they wrote Gore, I think they voted for Gore. It's bullshit that those weren't counted.

It's also bullshit that people with names and birthdates that matched those of felons by only 85% were purged from the voter rolls WITHOUT BEING NOTIFIED.

Dude. Duuude. Scott, I know you are an intelligent person. Just admit that the above totally sucks and was patently unfair.

    Fellowship,

If you weren't so blind you would see that a lot of people here are arguing the exact same thing that BR is saying.

    Haha.

BR, a year ago the raging anti-religion crusader, following Fellowship around in all his threads and berating him - now defending him; and Fellowship, the religious conservative, bane of all godless liberals - now telling BR he has integrity.

It's kind of sweet, really. A real love story.

They weren't even MATCHES! First initials and last names! Without crosschecking.

Florida won't require printouts of touch-screen votes

By George Bennett, Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

    Saturday, December 6, 2003

California will require that its touch-screen voting machines provide paper printouts for each ballot cast, but Florida's top elections official says she does not favor a similar standard here.

An excellent analysis of this voting debacle from a completely non-partisan point of view.

It makes some good points about the voting scandal and also supports my view (though it doesn't make the point specifically) that all Government IT spending should be Open Source whenever possible.
