All this aside, I am sure Apple will introduce the 128MB GPU in the next PowerBook refresh.
If I am not mistaken, there was no such thing like x8 AGP in G4 Powermacs. The graphics chips discussed here work only in x8 AGP. How Apple would use such a chip in a Powerbook without radically changing the system? Is there some backwards compatibility? Techseekers has today a solution that makes a Radeon 9600 Pro work in a G4.
