Everyone is hitting the web site now... all of a sudden the stream is choppy. No signal because it's still bouncing... I think. Time to wait it out.

I know, I was thinking "oh no, the stream has gone to hell!" then I remembered I could just turn on Nasa TV.

Spirit is Broadcasting strong UHF signal from the surface... it's safely down and working!
rtsp://137.78.25.101:554/encoder/live.rm?mode=compact&cloakport=8080,554,7070
is still streaming 220Kb RealVideo from JPLs internal server
Tone confirms it's right side up and airbags will begin deflating in 2 minutes
Woo Hoo!

Well, the hardest part is over.
Deflating the airbags and opening the petals should be done in 40 min.
Rover solar panel unfold and mast deploy for first photo panorama might be only hours away.
The stream will pick up with a press conference from 9:30 til 11:00pm,
when the commentary return will likely have imagery if it's coming in tonight.
If they can get first pics for the press conference, it'll be a home run.
First Maestro data probably won't come in til morning Rover checkouts are complete.
Frelling Cool, though.

NASA's web site sucks
http://www.nasa.gov/home/index.html
Hit the big Mars link in the middle and you'll get a skinny ass window that can't be resized.
