after my boys went to sleep christmas eve and my wife, her sister and her husband were helping in the assemblage of toys, we had the same discussion, and no one could remember when we found out that santa wasn't for real.
i don't mind the santa fib, but i do mind the way my boys get so much stuff. it's overwhelming.
we break it down threee ways.
a) stuff they get right away.
b) stuff we save for later
c) stuff we give to salvation army
i have a friend who every year writes a check to toys for tots instead of presents for all his friends kids.
