Um? WTF are you idiots bitching about balloons for? Using Safari right now? Mouse over the forward/back/reload/URL Text/Google search/Bookmark Icon/.../ I have Excel open right now. Mouse over every UI element there. Preview, iTunes ... who knows what else.

    It's there.

::: closes door and steps out wondering why people love to spread stupidity around "Hey look, some moron is bashing Apple, oh and by the way it's all false, lets make a big deal out of it and make it stay around for a while longer" :::

Here's some highlights you might enjoy:

(Some interesting facts are in BOLD)

    (My comments are in ITALICS)

You can read the rest (Don't kill the messenger! I just wanted to show you someone whos obviously been paid to say that)

I'll arrange for the writer's assassination.

Edit: How does one get away with writing such utter bullshit, and have it published?

I'm pretty certain that this guy, err, drone, is the commander of Microsoft's Progoganda Division. Hired to promote Microsoft's software, while at the same time writing utter shit and ridiculing every single OS on the planet. m.

Don't listen to him- look at the date the article was published. It's the car exhaust that is hooked up to his car window while idling and drinking eggnog that is made with lighter fluid. Don't give him the time of day- he very well may be the guy in the BK holiday video, found below.

I would say we are elite- because Apple cares about what it's customers want and think, and they deliver! When was the last time MicroSoft did *that*? I have a relative who works for M$ (ok, he is leaving to work for veritas) but they can't listen to their user base- they are too many and *you fill the blank here*. We are also elite because we can afford the best- these are the same people who are bashing BMW owners for driving them, it's only cause they can't afford the best. They consider the 'best' to be a computer they can steal the most software for and go to Wal-Mart and buy each and every 5 dollar game each week. Granted- more games are on PC *for now* but look for the shifts as XBOX moves to a PPC chip, and OSX woos more developers. Games for me are secondary- I use my computer for work- making money. Not wasting time on putt-putt goes to the moon, or barbie goes to McDonalds. I would rather spend my time working or relaxing on a computer that I don't have to fight with to get it to work with the upgrade I put in last week and NOW decides to piss me off, when I am trying to do something. Just my 2 worthless cents.

I usually find if you tell people to just start messing around they get the hang of things very quickly.

Speaking from the standpoint of a recent convert, this is exactly how I figured out how to use OS X; just messing around. The key to learning for me was thinking "okay, what would be the simplest way?" OS X is so great at being transparent that I've forgotten there even is an operating system. I just use my computer and it works. What a thunderously obvious thing.

yeah, most windows users i switched did well with the following advice.

"think of the easiest, almost too easy to believe way to do it. that's probably it."

to most people, the idea that dragging the application icon to the trash to uninstall it is just so damn easy it's hard.

You pretty much have to know what you're doing to use OS X.

I like that sentence, it makes him sound professional. You "pretty much" have to.... wow. Convincing himself? or convincing us?

You should have seen me trying to figure out how to get my floppy disk out of my first Mac (IIci). I was completely dumbfounded (still am-- the dumb part-- but for other reasons though).

You know, they all suck. It's just whatever you're more used to.
