    Those $999 iMacs are old models - 800Mhz 15" Combo drive, which aren't being made anymore. The current models are being sold at regular prices.

    Where does it come from? The hormone soaked brain of a teenager... who's hot for Apple products. Just take existing products and numbers, and make the numbers bigger/smaller (better) in obscene quantities.
