I see the drinkable stuff is not well regarded here abouts, but when I was a kid, oh, about 3-4 hundred years ago, I used to have a taste for something, I think it was called "kefir", that as best as I can remember was more or less liquid yogurt. Anyone know about this stuff?

First of all, if you eat yogurt, I'm going to have to say that you're being silly by eating flavored yogurt. It's like drinking a can of soda and eating a smallpiece of turkey. Since drinking a soda and eating a small piece of turkey is generally preferably to eating yogurt, why bother with the yogurt?
Seriously, the plain stuff is what you want. I'm happy with this whole-milk yogurt from a brand called "Stonybrook Farm." Colombo works OK too. The only healthy yogurt is plain yogurt. I eat it with my cereal (on the rare occaision I eat cereal)
