In my experience, As The Apple Turns actually gets product details and release dates right on most of the time but you have to sift through a lot of meaningless drivel to get to it.
To defend Jack, I wouldn't call what he writes "drivel", rumor-related or otherwise. Whenever he has something to deliver like upcoming product announcements, he's just not one to lay out the specs on the table a la many other sites that would post the same information. As far as I'm concerned, it makes for a more interesting read and discourages passive communication with the reader.
Anyway, he knows that whenever he posts something rumor-licious, every other Mac rumor site will note it too. Would I be too far out of line to say that he likes playing with the other rumor sites by obfuscating the rumor information he has?
i think AtAt is not supposed to be a upstanding news and rumors site. It is a humorless look the world of Macs and computing. It is good to read. What Jack should really do is start to write a book about the history of Apple with all the love and humor he puts into AtAt, that would be great!
