    <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> LMFAO..undoubtedly so true!

The iMac is nasty...white only please. Maybe, though, if it didn't look like someone bought a bucket of paint and a brush at Sears to paint it...maybe iw would look a tad better.

It just goes to show contrary to popular belief, that not everything looks good in black.

Although, can you picture an iMac in a brushed stainless steel finish? Then again, it'll really look like a luxo lamp.

If I am correct in guessing, it looks as if they ONCE AGAIN painted the outside of the iMac.

In order to maintain anything CLOSE to a decent finish on plastics like these one MUST paint from the inside.

It is fairly easy to remove Apple's paint... use 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and it comes RIGHT off.

My wife wants a new iMac but wants me to paint it a different color... I'll let you guys know when and if that happens.

A black iMac painted properly, perhaps a silver black not jet black, would look MUCH better than the sissy white Apple chose. The white plastic look is NOT impressive...............................

The white "dome" of the iMac is hardly plastic looking. It's more like a frosted glass.

I actually think it looks pretty modern and classic in white...but to each his own.

I think an iMac in a G4 Quicksilver finish (glossy silver under clear plastic shell) might look pretty awesome.

But that black one sucks! Black computers just look like they're trying too hard.

Kind of like a Yugo that's been lowered and fitted with a spoiler, or a really large girl with a tummy-exposing shirt and a navel ring.

Gosh, I like it too. I just think there needs to be some changes.

Make the apple logo a dark silver

make the screen a really dark black.

I personally would like Apple to get over this white thing they have going on. I would love to see a Ti G4 iMac like the PowerBook with the dark translucent keyboard and so on. Also, the iPod should have a Ti finish (I will buy one when they are nicer looking). The white on all their products is getting too fluffy for me. I hope the new PowerMac towers will not look like the new iMac. The white keyboard and mouse are horrible (IMHO) and tend to look shoddy rather quickly (at least the display models in the store do - and only after a few days of being on display). Come on Apple - no more snow white! I do however love the shiny chrome Apple Logo on the new hardware.

Oh well, I guess it's just a matter of personal tastes and opinion. You can't please everybody I guess.

If they had even left the Apple logo silver, it wouldn't have been so bad.

I would definitely agree with pscates on the Quicksilver coloring thing... that would look pretty sweet.

Pure black like this though - blech.

There is great irony in people posting in a Mac Rumor Messageboard criticizing other people's geekiness...

Isn't that right pscates (905 posts), and Horned_Frog (384 posts)
