Performance enhancers Viagra, Cialis etc...

I realize this topic might be a bit too personal, but then heck, there was a thread about circumcision.

I not sure if most here are old enough to need the help, but many are using them as recreational drugs anyways.

Viagra was first to market, hence the leader. But Cialis seems to have a lot more going for it. Thirty six hours!!

Damn, that's porn star ability. Any experiences anyone care to share/reveal?

anyone se the cialis commercial during the super bowl? when they started talking about the side effects? like, "erections of four hours or more, while rare, should seek immediate medical attention."

FOUR HOURS?!?!? so, does that mean if it's been 3 hours and 45 minutes, i should just wait and see? and what the hell is the doctor going to do? pop it like a balloon? show you pictures of extremely unattractive people? apply ice where ice should not be applied?

all in all, i'll take my chance with good ol' mother nature.

I think it's a rare situation that you'll have wood for four hours straight. That plus, you still need stimulation in order to acheive an erection.

The 36 hour thing does allow for one to have multiple shots on goal so to speak.

maybe the old british navy method of deterring erections... saltpeter

although Nitro or other blood thinner of more modern vintage might be applied.

cold water and ugly photos might work for some.

I read a story about a prank where a kid was given some viagra, like a 14 year old kid, he had a hard-on for like 10 hours, it wouldn't go away no matter what he tried and he started to cry and stuff.

    where did I read that?!?

was it on AI? I really cna't remember, was it even real?

    gah.

Why should you seek medical attention if you have a 4 hour erection?

I would much rather seek female attention..

Anyone who is seeking the ability to maintain a boner for more than a few hours needs to reevaluate their goals IMO. Why the hell would anyone *want* to have a stiffy for more than say, six hours? Let alone 36???

What if you have to go out in public to buy some groceries or something? Even if you knew you were going to be inside somewhere with your woman for 36 hours, don't you think it would get old fast during those times when you just wanted to sit and watch a football game or have lunch or something?

Just another example of the pharmaceutical industry going overboard with their "prescription drug for every purpose" strategy. How many boner pills do we need, for God's sake? How many heartburn pills do we need? How many arthritis pills? It's good to have options, but this country is so fixated on "popping pills" to solve their health problems, that these things will inevitably only lead to more side effects / problems that users never had to begin with.

Uncle. No boner pills for me thanks. If I need to go at it for more than 45 minutes or so, someone must be holding me hostage.

Maybe as a torture device? What if you are making a sculpture of your penis?

    eh forget it.

Anyone see those creepy Enzyte commercials? Guy has this Jack-Nicholson-as-the-Joker smile and doesn't say a word. Had to go to the website to find out it was snake oil that includes yohimbe and other junk, so it's not prescription, which means they hope you'll buy it without asking your doctor.

One of the more interesting components is niacin. If you have ever taken niacin in large quantities, you end up going red like a lobster due to blood vessel dialation. Guess that could help you where needed most...

Priapism (an erection that won't go away) can indicate a serious medical condition that's preventing the blood from draining away. It can also be really, really painful.

My understanding is that the pill gives the user the ability to have an erection, if aroused, for up to 36 hours, for those who otherwise can't. I don't think it's a pop a pill get a boner deal.

    Addabox is right.

I didn't know what Cialis was so I looked it up and it states it plain and clear that Cialis (in US market claims) gives you the potential window of 36 hours for AN erection. I t follows that it will/may not help in multiple erection and that any potential erection after taking Cialis requires manual stimulation.

Aside from most of the people's misunderstanding in this thread, there was a story few years back in which a man took some pills that were used for horse studs. He remained with an erection for days in pain and was too embarassed to go to the doctor until he couldn't bare it.

I bought myself a couple of viagra out of curiosity once, and well, damn, it works - and how

I am now in my 30s and just kissing does usually no longer give me a hard-on like when I was 15 and it was all new and exciting. Viagra basically works like a time-machine in this regard.

It must suck if you have to take it before getting it on - but if you can choose to if you want some special effects to impress a certain person, it sure rocks

Giving anyone with viagra-induces priapism a shot of nitro or salpeter might be fatal by the way - it blocks some enzyme in the NO-cascade and adding any source of NO might do no good at all. However showing the patient the syringe you'r about to ram into his dick should do the job just fine

It seems to me that these pills just mask some potentially-serious blood circulation problems.
