Kamakiriad by Donald Fagan, produced by Walter Becker. Heard it playing in a co-worker's room while doing a project in Beauford SC and fell in love with it. The song "Snowbound" hooked me, pulled me back into Steely Dan in a HUGE way. So that album gets my "favorite album" nod anytime the topic arises even though I have 300-400 albums from which to select....some of which are equally loved but from a different age...like Pink Floyd's "The Wall" album....anyway, don't get me wandering off through albums. I'll happily stick with Kamakiriad.
In my opinion, any best-album list has to have Shake Your Moneymaker by The Black Crowes.
Also:
Alice in Chains - Dirt
Stevie Ray Vaughn - The Sky Is Crying
Steve Vai - Passion & Warfare
Russ Ballard - The Fire Still Burns
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Metallica - Justice For All
Nirvana - Nevermind
Rollins Band - Weight
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness
That's off the top of my head... these are always so hard to think of. I'd really need a few days of listening and thinking to come up with a complete top 10 or top 15.
