Yup, still have that song in my head.

I'm never one for pop music anyway. I'm wierd. I like things that have a small fanatical following like Marillion, Fish, Jorma Kaukonen, Apple Computers etc.

Let me know when she starts working for Extreme Associates

    *ehem*

Now I am a music snob . . . but the other day I heard on the radio a song that I really liked . . . I was very surrrised to find that it was Britney Spear's 'Toxic'

It was followed up by 'oh yeah' (or whatever/) by Outcast . . . another song that I actually like

I used to semi-pride myself on liking obscure stuff and music officianado stuff . . . (see the Jazz thread) as well as Avant Garde music and sound

but My eclectic tastes have expanded to accept anything that is catchy.

Too often people let the aura of the artist: their image, their style, their following etc., influence musical listening decisions . . . and I mean most of the times . .. .

With having a daughter I find that I listen to "The Old Milk-Cow" about a thousand times a day and love it to no end

    "oooh the old milk cow

    -catch her by the tail

    the old milk cow

    -never in the pale"

    Hello

    Hello

    Hello hello

    Hello

    Hello

    Ha ha ha ha

You never listened to a word that I said

You only seen me from the clothes that I wear

Or did the interest go so much deeper

It must have been to the colour of my hair

    The public image

What you wanted was never made clear

Behind the image was ignorance and fear

You hide behind his public machine

You still follow same old scheme

    Public image

    Two sides to every story

    Somebody had to stop me

I`m not the same as when I began

I will not be treated as property

    Public image

    Two sides to every story

    Somebody had to stop me

I`m not the same as when I began

It`s not a game of monopoly

    Public image

    Public image

    You got what you wanted

The public image belongs to me

It`s my entrance my own creation

    My grand finale

    My goodbye

    Public image

    Public image

    Goodbye

    - P.I.L.

I don't get it. Are those lyrics supposed to be redeeming in some way?

It's actually John Lydon's redemption from the Malcolm Maclaren Sex Pistol Swindle he went through.

I am myself and will not be treated like property. Like Justin, Brittany, and all the other lame lip syncing swindlers are.
