If you ask me, this is a good time to buy APPL puts (in fact I bought 40 AAQPT yesterday). I can't see Sony buying Apple and when that becomes more obvious APPL will fall. Then, with the delays in the XServe G5s and upgraded PB G5s, I don't see them having a real great sales quarter. When they announce their earnings for the quarter I see them getting hit again. It wouldn't surprise me to see them trading at $20 come April 16.
Their earnings will probably be in the 35 million profit range, the iPod mini will offset desktop sales somewhat.
I agree with JBL... At least some of this run-up is because of the Sony rumor, so when it turns out to be bunk, expect the stock to take a hit.
The stock has come a bit too far, too fast. Expect to see it deflate at least a bit on Monday... The day traders will have had enough time to think things over, and clarity will eventually return. Apple at nearly $27 seems a bit too high right now, but Apple at $20 in mid April is a BARGAIN...

there are some analysts who predicted a scenario of $40 if the stock price would climb to $27, just because they think that very much investors could buy .... though i don't understand why that should happen .... (i think the analyst was called "Chartanalyst")
I agree that 27 is a little high at this point, but I don't see it going down to 20 in April.
Personally, I'm glad I bought AAPL when I did, nearly a year ago. I bought right after the rumor that they were going to buy that music company (record label, can't remember the name). It has gone up 91.41% since then . Can AAPL single-handedly bring my portfolio into the green (amongst an ocean of red)?
I'm still a little upset about not buying AKAM at the same time:

Perhaps, but then, when it was <$15 around this time last year it was at least as undervalued as it is overvalued right now... Who knows. Logic and Wallstreet don't really go together all that often.
