Please stay on topic, CosmoNut. If we respond to most of your points, this thread will resemble a number of different Bush threads currently and previously discussed. So yeah, save the RNC talking points for another time. Just 9/11, what happened before/after, and the commission please. Thanks.

And you'd have to own up to the validity of those points, and we're not going to do that now are we?

But I agree, it's off topic. I apologize. First mistake I ever made.

Meaning that Blame should be placed somewhere . . . . but "The Buck Passes On"! . . . . now its Congresses' fault?!?

And Congress, spineless as it was in the face of percieved popular opinion, was fed the same onslought of falsity that was fed to all of us.

[*]If the things Bush has done are so egregious, why isn't there a *large* public outcry to impeach him? Why isn't his very job in jeopardy? I think the answer is because most Americans realize that even the best intelligence-gatherers can be wrong. It's not exactly a sure thing, folks.

Good question, even if your answer is sorely unsatisfactory.

My answer is the fact that the mainstream media is simply NOT daring to ask seriously critical questions, as well as BushCo having one of the best and highly paid PR networks in history pushing non-stop image control in the face of unrelenting realityQuote:

[*]Yes, it's a shame that we didn't catch the terrorists before 9/11 happened, but how many more 9/11s have we had since then? Is the Dept. of Homeland Security completely worthless? Ask your local fire and police chiefs for that answer.

Probably not worthless . . . but one must ask why are the Fire Departments in NY backing Kerry?

[*]What was happening to the economy on the day GWB was sworn in? Oh yeah, it was already on a downswing. Is that Clinton's fault? Maybe partially, but the president has a lot less to do with that than you all would like to give him credit for.

Agreed . . . though BushCo took what would have been an ordinary cycle and pushed it into the largest Dept ever and will lose our SS for ever . . .

[*]In these hard times, did Bush not try to do *something* to try to help out ALL taxpayers in America? Yes, we have grown a national debt, but that can and will be payed back down. You appreciated that check in the mail, though, didn't you?

    HAHA

There's a lot of good to go with Bush's bad decisions. Remember that he doesn't live in a bubble

No, he is surrounded by dyed-in-the-wool fanatic ideologues who are giving him the worst advice imaginable . . . and if not they are fired or quit.
