Color eMac

Hi everyone...

I gave some color to the new eMac.

I like it most in blue.

    The Yellow one looks pretty good, most of the others the colors are kind of pale

    The eMac looks horrible on its own already. I don't think the colors make it look worse. I kinda like it!

    Ummm, isn't this just 5 flavours iMac all over again... Still, my Tangerine Rev.B is still puttering along..... just. I look foward to its retirement (or demise...)

    The colors are definitely an improvement. If there were ever an Apple product that screamed out for color, it's the eMac. Even Graphite would be better than white.

    Rhapsody: The color eMacs look great. I wholeheartedly agree with Eugene. The eMac looks big, heavy and ugly. Colors certainly couldn't hurt. On the other hand, schools may want to keep their computer labs intentionally sober (i.e. white).

    Needless to say, regardless of what desktop succeeds my Rev.A Bondi iMac, I will keep my old keyboard? A white keyboard, to make sure you can see all that finger grime on it? WTF? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />



    While Apple's chaning colors on the eMac, they might as well get rid of that shiny white on my iBook. I'm sick of having to scratch crud from the white keyboard.

    Sigh. So much for Apple's philosophy of "Thinking Different" making into the classroom along with the machines....



    God forbid a kid should have fun in school anymore.

    No you're not. i think the eMac looks LOADS better than the LCD iMac. How about a black one?..................

    The CRT iMac looks 100 times better than the eMac. Apple has a picture on its website where the two are in the same picture and the iMac looks way better. They should have just modified the original design and not started over with the eMac.

    Anyone know where there are some pics of the eMac, other than the standard PR studio shots we've all seen a gazillion times?



    They don't have them at my local Apple store or CompUSA and I'd like to see some photos of them in real-life settings, with people around, etc.



    Hard to guage some things from those basic "posed" shots on Apple's site.

    I, for one, like the eMac's look very much.



    The only colors I liked in those mockups were the black and army-green one, though only because they were the only ones, IMO, that looked not bad.



    The black looks very NeXTy, while the army-green one reminds me of the TAM for some reason.

    I personally don't think there's much of a design to complain about with the eMac. It's REALLY boring, actually. So much so that even some color doesn't really spruce it up.
