How is the noise in the latest revision of the Powermac line. I heard the original quicksilver's referred to as 'quick-hoovers' because they were quite loud...
Is that the case with the new ones (800,933,DP1G) as well?... or are they quieter?...
thanks

Rats, I was hoping they could turn down the fans since I heard the new gen g4's were running cooler...
Thank you... moderators you can close this...
You all must be deafened from your noisy fans, and don't realise you are deafening me with your LOUD banter!
Sorry, I can't help my sensitive hearing - it is down to a slow but fanless iMac!

Can't get a picture up... shhuurrrrr.
And yes, I concur, very freakin' loud. Definitely needs to be on the floor.

Im not a pessimist. And Steve hates fans.
By the by, I just bought a DVD iBook about an hour ago and am using it right now while I watch Start Wars Episode I on it. This is sweet, I can finally retire my 7500.
XLR8yourmac.com has a few articles on how to reduce the noise from Quicksilvers.
