Next to the new iMac, the eMac is the idiot brother you keep locked in the basement. I've seen them both side by side as recently as today. I believe the only people who would choose to buy an eMac are the ones who have not had the chance to see one in person. Don't get me wrong. It's much better in person than it is in the pictures. It just does not compare to the iMac. I was very under whelmed by the screen. It even looked smaller than the iMac screen. It was just an illusion, but a very powerful one.

I saw the eMac and iMac side by side today. I thought the eMac looked good. The screen and bezel are the largest part of of the computer so that when you are using it that is all you see. It looks like a flat panel floating in space.

EXACTLY, radar! You beat me to it.

Apple could release a 22" Cinema Display-based G6 iMac tomorrow at 2GHz, and someone here would still find something wrong with it and bitch.

You'd be amazed at the number of people who decide based on stupid stuff like that. I mean if it's an antique maybe but if it's one those $49.95 Sauder wonders <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />

    hello!

i briefly saw emac at j and r few days ago. i found it really beautiful. sort of an updated version of imac..... i think original graphite imac was really beautiful and emac seems like progression of that. the back of it looks gorgeous like an engine of an aircraft.... i just don't like that large chrome apple logo.... i think that could have been elsewhere... all in all, if some office had like 100 lined up, it would look really great like something from a movie..... :-) stanley kubrick's... maybe...

wait... this has nothing to do with the screen.... i side tracked..... sorry.... :-)
