Belief ' O ' Matic Machine..Take the Faith test...
Yesiree...
Just walk right up to this here machine..drop your coin into the slot and let the gizmo do its fandanglin job..
( Not too close son..it showers with sparks and scares the horses
)
Well its almost like that.....
Just that if your willing to answer a few questions ( 20 in all ) this here "Belief ' O ' Matic" machine will tell what church , mosque, synagogue, hall etc to head to...
So take it for a spin. Find out if your meant to wear a turban, hug a tree or shave your head...
I did...
and now I has come out as a Liberal Quaker.
(but seeings as I has already got the shakes )
they ain't no suprise....

Thats kind of scary since I definately don't believe in the cult of Jesus (or the cult of Mohammad).
I'm more of an agnostic nature worshiper who has no use for religion and activelly despises organized religion.
92% - Secular Humanism
92% - Theravada Buddhism
Seems to be pretty in line with my beliefs. Personally I think Secular Humanism is the best fit for me, but I don't label myself.

Except that it does seem strange because I am a theist of sorts . . . . and Buddhism is NOT a theism . .
Perhaps it is because my form of theism is with a G-d that is best contemplated as one would contemplate philosophy . .. and Buddhism has the world as phenomena and contemplation/meditation as the means to 'enlightenment'
. . .and faith . . . faith is important for me . . . though it takes the form of absolute love of all that exists . . . including suffering and even boredom
My idea is about both: maybe it should be characterized as a loose grip?

Although from results info pages you can pull down to "what others believe" and Atheist and Agnostic is described, despite picking every no god/not applicable answer, one can't seem to get Nontheist as 100 % fit
(at least not with the "value on this question" left in default middle position.)

2._Nontheist (96%)
3._Secular Humanism (96%)
it seems they are determined to shoehorn everybody into a broad "Unitarian Universalism",
which ends its first descriptive paragraph
Belief in Deity
Very diverse beliefs--Unitarian/Universalists welcome all deity beliefs as well as nontheistic beliefs. Some congregations are formed for those who share a common belief, e.g. Christianity.
so why would a Nontheist fit better in a Christian congregation than just plain Nontheist?
Is it anathema for a site called Beliefnet to 'endorse' nontheism?
Testing with those choices did produce a close race for last place with 11 religions tied for worst fit

I think I took the wrong test.
As someone who's been raised (and still pretty much is) Catholic, my results were:
1. Reform Judaism (100%)
2. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (99%)
3. Liberal Quakers (95%)
4. Bahá'Ã* Faith (92%)
5. Unitarian Universalism (83%)
6. Sikhism (82%)
7. Orthodox Judaism (76%)
On the site's "What kind of Catholic are you?" test, I scored 32 out of 100, making me a progressive Catholic whose idea of a good movie is apparently The Last Temptation of Christ.
