My eBay listing.

Starting at 4:45 today (April 23) and going until 4:45 on April 28th.

Starting off at $750.

PowerMac G4 Cube

?450 MHz G4 Processor

?20 GB Hard Drive

?Upgraded 32 MB Radeon Graphics Card

?192 MB of RAM

?Slot Load DVD-ROM

?Mac OS X 10.3.3

?Apple Pro Speakers With Grill Protectors

?Apple Pro Mouse

?Apple Pro Keyboard

?All original cables (Firewire, Modem etc)

?iLife '04

Mint condition G4 Cube with no crack lines that were an apparent problem with some models. It runs silently except for when the Radeon's fan kicks in.

The graphics card in the Cube was a BTO from the 16 MB card that was built in, it has really extended the useful life of this machine!

It is still a completely capable OS X machine, perfect for digital video and photography, email and word processing, as well as web design.

Why is that? The escrow service is very reliable.

Well, having no feedback and requiring payment through an escrow service or check is a leap of faith for many bidders who don't know you. We know you, and know you'd send the machine. But, just thinking from the perspective of someone who doesn't...

Maybe you could have murbot sell it for you under his username.... He's gotta have some monster feedback. Good luck, either way.

Haha true! Maybe Murbot could buy it from me now for $750 (as low as I'd go) and then resell it for more because of his notorious eBay rep.

Comparable Cube's go for 800-1000. With the software on it and the graphics upgrade, I expect to get at least 700 for it, considering it is a Cube.

it's possible, but among the Mac savvy crowd, that's a lot to pay for that hardware.

ebay is full of idiots though, so you might have a shot.

I realize this, but the thing about the hardware is, it is probably actually worth 500 bucks for what it can do. The other 200-300 comes in from the form-factor, mystique and exclusivity that comes with owning a Cube.

Especially considering at ADC one can buy a refurbed eMac for less money that has a processor more than twice as fast, a hard drive three times las big, and even has a 17" screen thrown in. Sure, it doesn't have the aesthetics of a cube, but it would probably be a rare find to come upon a buyer willing to part with more money for half the machine just because it's cool to look at....

Have you researched to back that claim up? Check eBay ending auction prices on Cubes.

Ok, I'll make a one time deal to anyone here if my Cube does not sell in its 5 day eBay selling period. $675 for the Cube, no more no less.

Selling it with software on it? How ethical.
