Great, this shows that the new Powerbooks have the same performance in this test as the Centrinos. Perhaps the FPU and the system bus are not pushed to their limits and this would mean the test is clock speed proportional. But then the Centrinos have twice the L2 cache than the Powerbooks, and we saw in a previous post with a Celeron how much this can affect the results. Next time I will have access to the Latitude D800, I will try to increase the FFT length (e.g. 400000, 600000) to see how the execution time scales. In the mean time, it would be interesting to see your results with these lengths.
