The ever popular 16 jungian personality types. If you want to part with $5 you can take the test, but after being duped into it, it's really no better than honestly assessing yourself from the descriptions.

I scored ENTP with a pretty high degree of certainty. ESTP was number 2.

I'm an INTP, and I'm compatible with the Sheep and the Weasel.

INTP, I believe. The last time I jokingly looked at one of these to pacify my brothers psychoanalytic interest was four years ago.

    Its all bs...

INTJ at first glance. But I'll have to read through them again later.

    INTJ:

Independent, original, analytical, and determined. Have an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence, and structure. Driven to derive meaning from their visions. Long-range thinkers. Have very high standards for their performance, and the performance of others. Natural leaders, but will follow if they trust existing leaders.

SO...you're INTJ too, huh Moogs? heh.

Mine usually comes up INTJ or ENTJ if I recall. Maybe I'm bi-polar.

I took one of these a few years ago, and although I can't remember what I got it was probably ENTP: "They get very excited about new ideas and projects, but may neglect the more routine aspects of life." sums me up pretty well...

    ISTP

Every last word of it is me.

Guess it works out well, being a fire fighter and all.

These choices suck. None of them say anything about pessimists like me.

In other tests they might call you an "AAA."

Anyway, I don't think optimism/pessimism has a lot to do with the guiding criteria of this methodolgy. The writeups on that site are all saccarine positive, but the same treatment is used in many other places. That's why the test is good if you really care. . . . or are really bored, yet curious.

I'm definitely INTP, because it turns up as my result every time I take one of these tests. I do have a strong ISTP streak, however.

    I didn't get a score code.

Instead it just displayed an image of Dave Coulier

and then redirected me to www.cutitout.net

I've taken some version or other of that test once a year for the past four years. INTJ twice, ISTJ twice.

No way I'm parting with $5 over something like that, heh.

Still, the different personality types are interesting. I seem to be both an ISFP (artist) and INTP (nerd). Makes for a nice combination of social and professional self destruction. A thought: I wonder if the Mac platform attracts certain personality types simply because it's "different" than the others (which invariably attract nerdular nerds aka INTPs).

I noticed that none of you has Feelings.

It's been 20 years sense I took this in college. I forget who... I mean what I am.

INTP years ago, still INTP a few months ago when I did similar test a few months back. It was not the most common type in the class when I did it .. seems surprisinly more common here.

As I had guessed, there are a lot of NTPs here. It fits the job description.
