1.\tContinue to enhance browser compatibility. I no longer want to use two \tbrowsers because Safari is too slow or simply doesn't play nice with certain sites (like www.ign.com).
2.\tIncreased speed.
3.\tThe ability to update/over-write bookmarks as easily it is to add new \t\tbookmarks.
4.\tVisible browser history like Trail Blazer.
5.\tMore available command buttons. For example, I want a real print button instead of resorting to a Javascript hack.
6.\tThe ability to send a link via e-mail. Using services is awkward.
7.\tA key stroke to close all open tabs.
8.\tThe ability to have a group of tabs as my home page.
9.\tShow file download speeds.
10.\tThe ability to download an entire site as a PDF file (like an improved IE web archive function).
11.\tThe ability to have the command buttons and the address/Google search fields not be on the same row.
They need to fix problems with the focus of the windows. Sometimes I'll click on a lower Safari window, the UI elements will highlight but the window will not pop forward.
If it doesn't suit YOU, then don't use it. I sourly miss this feature and with safari extender it's badly implicated. I'm pretty sure large number of users miss this feature. The less you have to move your hand when browsing the more 'browser friendly' it is right?
I don't know if this is what you mean by type ahead address, but i wish Safari would search for what the bookmark is named rather than just its address. Example: Other World Computing has an address of eshop.macsales.com, but I can never remember that. I have the bookmark named to Other World Computing but typing that in produces no result. Explorer had it way back when, where is it for Safari?
Also:
-RSS reading built in
-A true Cocoa toolbar with a collapse wigdet in the upper right of the window
A functional history and download manager would be top priorities. Pipeling and "stay alive" like Mozilla if it's possible to add might eliminate the "choke" effect on Safari. I think this has always been there. Sometimes, Safari chokes on a page and pauses for a moment before loading it. It seems random, as hitting reload sometimes instantly loads it. Mozilla derivatives don't do that. Turning Debug Menu in Prefs too! It has lots of cool features average people like and need like pretending to be IE.
I would like to be able to consistently switch tabs while one page is loading without waiting. I also would like to see keywords for searches like Camino (I use Sogudi for this, but it sometimes misses).

This is an excellent idea.
One thing that I want are fvcking separate stop / reload buttons.

9.\tShow file download speeds.
Option+click the time remaining to view the download speed, download speed used to be default but they changed it with v1.2.
I love the idea of being able to click and drag to the left on a dorment part of a page instead of clicking back.
Maybe have the ability to turn this feature on/off.

There's a save as field in the print menu although you'll have to do page by page..

I'm not 100% sure but I think Omniweb had this feature first, in case anyone cares.

Frequent crashes.
Slow.

OmniWeb has had that feature since the NeXT days.

click the little icon to the left of the address and it selects the whole address

1. Back 1 page in the contextual menu
Doesn't belong there.
4. Better Java compatibility
You mean JavaScript, right?
