Concerning values, there are certain things that I as a parent would not want my child to see at too young an age. This would include sexual references and images, use of drugs, graphic violence, etc.
I totally agree, but don't you think that site takes it a bit far?
South Park, MTV, and Eminem is one thing but c'mon...the Wolf in grandmas clothes? Evil stepsister looks like a man = she-male? Even the Pinoccio thong thing was such a teeny weeny bit that will likely sail above most kids heads. Though i'm not sure why snapping his thong is such a harmful image anyway, for those that wouldn't want their wooden sons to wear girls underwear, the characters in the show ARE making fun of him for it.
Can't wait for the Snow White exposé where she's painted as a polygamist thats into group sex! That damn dirty whore will get whats coming to her one of these days!!
Justifying that ridiculous site and the criticisms of the movie is almost as fucking funny as the site itself. You have to be pretty far to the right to agree with any of that crap.

lol You know, you shouldn't joke like that. There are a few members who will actually agree with that.

Honestly, the comments on Shrek (if they're accurate...I haven't seen it) do not go too far. Gender confusion is a children's movie? Joking about wearing women's underwear? Not appropriate for an 8 year old.
As for tinky-winky...again, why do we need to have a gay tele-tubby? Is that really necessary? This is the kind of thing people are talking about when they complain about "gay recruiting". We shouldn't deny that homosexuality exists or allow programs with gay bashing in them, but really...a gay children's show character?
Those that are trying to point out things like a "bulge" in the Little Mermaid Wedding scene are, of course, over the top. But why should we expose children to things like gender confusion?
Tinky-winky is not GAY!!! it is merely a purple creature that carries a handbag!!!!
You must be joking . . . I never thought you were capable of satire . . . but either this proves that you are, or it proves you are seriously retrograde and utra-Conservative in the most stultifying of fashions!
The shrek thing is not 'gender confusion!', it is completely typical young-kids humor . . . and if they don't get it then they don't get it.
"Gender confusion" --what are you talking about anyway?
Some idyllic couple in the sky who know that pants are for men and skirts are for women?!
Not everything that is a deviation from that 'ideality' is confused.
If you Force your child into an image that is too constricting and based on unreal abstractions of what 'men' and 'women' are supposed to be then you will turn out a terribly screwed up kid . . .
or simply another proto-Taliban level retrograde clone . . . but I doubt that!

I think tinky-winky is supposed to be gay. There are simply to many coincidences. As for Shrek, well as I've said, I haven't seen it. But honestly, jokes about wearing women's underwear? I'm not sure that's gender confusion, but I'm also not sure it's appropriate.
As for gender roles, well a little common sense can be employed, no? Do men generally wear skirts as common procedure?
Many women wear pants . . . it wasn't too long ago that women wearing pants was a no-no . . . it also wasn't too long ago in Afghanistan that women shoing their faces was worth a beating!
If Tinky-Winky is 'supposed to be gay' then you have some burried issues with gender: such as gender PANIC which reveals too much repressed sexuality and some unacknowledged inclinations!
Coincidences?!?! like him being purple?\
Dumb! why not pink!
the triangle?
Dumb! why not a pink triangle?
The handbag?
It is a creature that carries a handbag . . . who cares!!! is it a guy? who knows . . . its a Telletubby for heaven's sake!
gender confusion? wtf? when did this become a big problem?
Did I miss something? Are the millions of people walking around sending out mixed gender signals... to children?
Daddy was is that woman wearing flannel?
Mommy why does that man have an earring?
Grandpa why are you wearing a mini skirt?
Grandma why do you ride a Harley?
People need to get a grip.
I think young kids getting the crap beat out of them because the other kids think they're a "fag" is a bigger problem than wink wink nudge nudge jokes in Shrek.
Ok, is there any evidence at all(anything from the actual creators of the show) that Tinky is a gay character, or is it just the ridiculous Falwell followers who believe that?
Why should the teletubies be blamed for your perverted thoughts?
That show is meant for little toddlers. There is no reference to gender of any kind for the main characters. You don't have conversations either; except for where they try to teach basic communication and the video snippets by little children.
If you want gender confusion just look at almost ANY of the Japanese style cartoons. LOL. Pinoccio's 2-sec thong snap is pretty inconsequential. Not sure about Tinky Winky... never actually could bring myself to watch Teletubbies for more than about half a minute. They are just a bit too odd, regardless of any intention they may or may not have with homosexuality.
I spoke to my kids about what they saw on Shrek 2... My sons said that they wouldn't want to screw any of the characters because they were not hot enough. My boys are holding out for Playboy hot!
