    The old version is sufficient. From the Tech Specs page...

    I'm wondering if the Airport Express can be used to extend and existing Airport Extreme network, WIRED not wireless. Airport reception in our livng area downstairs is pretty bad (too many metal objects between the 12" PB and the AEbase) and the Express seems to be the perfect solution. Since the existing signal is bad I don't think it makes sense to use that signal for WDS. A better method would be to attach the Express to an ethernet cable in the living area to create a roaming network. Nowhere in the articles about Airport Express have I seen mention of using it in a roaming network.



    Anybody know if it supports roaming?
