Apple has never introduced new products at their quarterly report meetings with analysts and I suspect they won't do so this time. The meeting is about sales past, present and future and what the targets are for the next quarter. That's all. It's a Wall Street thing you know.
P.S. The meetings are strictly via teleconference and no reporters are actually at the Apple location.
I am not talking about the call, I am talking about a press conferance that I predict will be held this week to hype the 100mil. sales.
but the number of itunes sales will be hyped in the call, as the iumac fiasco is downplayed.
It looks like about 31,000 per hour. Which puts it at about 3AM EDT. Was hoping to put in an order near the end (take the crap shoot). That's 1AM my time. Perhaps a bit late for me.
it will be 11 at the latest, there will be a huge spike at the end.
I saw that - hunch is they are trying to avoid a huge spike, seems weird to me...unless the thing shot up to 100 million and they are holding announcement till the morning, say at a press event...
Weird, several times I got "97,000,000+" (literally, plus-sign included), but upon refreshing it goes to 99,854,889 etc.
Maybe that is their default "the tracker is overloaded, so use the static one instead" page.
Or maybe because they want to keep people buying. Some people are pessimistic that if it is to close they will just give up because they do not think they have a chance.

Oops, my original guess was based on -400 GMT, not EDT. So the real time will be around midnight to 1 a.m. EDT

Edit: well, it's back up now, but it was down for a while.
