    How about <shudder> beige?

Being it the 20th anniversary of the Macintosh this year, how about some limited edition 'Original Mac Beige' color?

Btw, i wasn't thinking miniPod or iMac G1 colors, but considerably darker tones of red, blue, green, whatever.

I have been riffing off the mini colors just because I like them, and also because there might be some potential for the iMac to trade on the mini's desirability. But ultimately, whether there's color, and what sort of color there is, depends on what works with the design. Right now, the iMac 2 is white because color just flat-out doesn't work with that design.

We'll see. Your point is well taken, though, that the more the computer resembles a flat screen, the more the color has to be neutral.
