Inside the London and Shinsaibashi Apple Stores (images)

New sets of images reveal more details of two of Apple Computer's forthcoming international flagship retail stores.

Earlier this week correspondents in London were able to briefly gain access to the inside of Apple's forthcoming flagship retail store on Regent street in London. Unfortunately, with the store not scheduled to open for another 3 months, the inside of the location reveals little more than a high ceiling, sets of scaffolding, and piles of cinder blocks. Additional photos were able to capture some of external art and stonework of the building, which was recently revealed.

Meanwhile, our friend Gary Allen of ifoAppleStore faired much better in his very recent photo shoot of the interior of Apple's Shinsaibashi retail store. With the massive Japanese Apple store set to open in less than two days, Allen was able to obtain several photographs of the first floor and the beautiful spiral glass staircase described in an April AppleInsider report.

Update:Even more impressive, the Mac Treasure Tracing Club has posted a photo gallery from the inside of the store, presumably taken during an media-centric pre-launch event held at the store sometime this week.

As an ex-retailer I can't help but be in awe of the Apple Stores and might just plan my late fall business trip there to allow me to be there for the grand opening.

It's clear that the magic of Steve Jobs is at work here, just as it is in the hardware and software Apple designs. Think about a CompUSA when you look at the pictures and you can start to understand the difference between and Mac and a PC.

Sadly I live in Tulsa and will probably be dead before we get a mini Apple Store.

I note the London opening is planned for late November. Strangely coincidental that there is a MacExpo in London round about the same time?!

Oh - and just what is a photo of (Piccadilly Circus?) doing here? The new store is waaay up Regent Street from there!

It also looks like a poor Photoshop job on the weather. I don't think we've seen any blue skies at least for a month. Wettest August on record.

OMG!! You guys are soooo funny!! Why would we Photoshop the weather? Look outside right now though - it's pouring down.

    Edit: Additions in orange.

Ummm... exactly my point. Blue skies in the images.

You see, I was making a joke.

(You didn't actually think I was accusing you of photoshopping the frigging weather, do you?)

He's still recovering from the, "show us the frigging iMac sketch," thread.
