The Train Job was the episode totally re-written to be the pilot episode for Firefly. (Instead of the normal 2 hour pilot.) But it could be a great stand-alone episode too. Nonetheless, I like it. Great Quotes.

I can't stand Objects in space (although that seems to be one of the best rated) and Out of Gas gets a little long in the tooth at places, but has LOTS of background information on the characters so it is good.
I think that train heist episode was the worst. I know they wrote some to satisfy the networks need for more shoot 'em up action and I think that was one of them. Just such a boring trite concept. Besides why would we have training in 500 years?
I don't think that Train Job was bad at all. And Maglev trains are very appropriate for futuristic settings like Firefly. If you notice they are avoiding tech that seems impossible according to the laws of physics, like faster than light drives, and I rather like that for a change.
