I have the Monsoon MM-1000's, a 2.1 set up. Personally I think they're terrific, I purchased them after reading many glowing reviews. Can't compare them to anything else though as I've never seen the soundsticks/iSub or JBL Creatures. They are kinda limiting in a way though in that they're only good when you're sitting at the computer listening to them. Since they're planar speakers the sound is projected mostly in a straight line perpendicular to the face of the speakers rather than in an arc, so they're not very good at filling a room with sound. Perfect though if you're sitting in front of them in one place.

They've been out awhile too, so chances are you can pick up a set for alot less than $199 US.

In fact, I got them at Fry's in Northern California for $150.

burningwheel, <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=001843"; target="_blank">this thread</a> may help you out a bit. I was looking for the JBL Creatures too, but Amazon.com was a bitch and didn't tell me the item was backordered. Instead They kept moving the ship date back 1-2 weeks EVERY 2 weeks. Damn them! MacMall <a href="http://www.macmall.com/macmall/shop/detail.asp?dpno=552374"; target="_blank">has them</a> for 110 bucks. But WTF!?!?! Ground shipping costs 27 bucks? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
