My car has FM/AM only, so I love my iTrip. I finally get to listen to what I want in my car. The sound is good enough - FM quality. The FM dial in Seattle is pretty packed, but I still get good signal. One trick is to turn the iPod volume up very high to boost signal, and use your stereo's volume to control sound level. It does drain the iPod's battery about twice as fast as usual, but that's what the handy-dandy auto power adaptor is for.

Be careful, though, because it's really hard to use the scroll wheel safely while driving. Seriously. No tactile feedback, like with a cell phone. Pick a playlist and try to leave it at that, unless you have a co-pilot.

i pretty much have my ipod memorized, so i can find playlists with about one second of searching. i find the backlight more of a problem than anything. if it wasnt as bright, it would be safer. but i do mostly long highway driving late at night, so there isnt much traffic anyways.
