Apple Computer in 2005 will open a retail store in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, AppleInsider has learned.

The new store will be the third Apple store in the West Palm Beach metro area and the sixth in Southeast region of Florida.

According to tipsters, the store is set to open on the north side of West Palm Beach in The Gardens of the Palm Beaches shopping center, where sources say Apple has recently finalized a leasing agreement.

Located one mile east of I-95 on PGA Boulevard East in Palm Beach Gardens, the mall plays host to over 150 shops and restaurants including the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Burdines-Macy's, and Sears.

Speaking to AppleInsider, mall representatives confirmed rumors of an upcoming Apple retail store, but were not privy to specifics.

Leasing representatives for The Gardens mall were out of town on a business trip and could not be reached for comment.

The Gardens location will be the ninth Apple retail store to hit the state of Florida, joining six established locations and two upcoming locations: one at the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, and another on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach.

Last week it was reported that Apple will soon expanded its new "mini" store design into the United Kingdom, with at least five locations planned for 2005.
