Well, CC decoding would have to be hardware based, since the MPEG encoder would now have to add the CC signal to the video stream. Also, of course, FireWire would be hardware based. I'm not sure what you're asking since I'm sure you understood these two points.
what I am getting as is that even if you have no plans on getting EyeTV you should really let them know why you are not getting one. get what i am saying?
