<strong>I assume you're referring to Bottomless Pete.
I've had a powerbook 500 since February 3rd 2001, and now a 1Ghz for a week. I haven't noticed any problem with putting in rj-45 plugs. Granted, I also like the puck mouse.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Well, it's easy to plug them in. It's taking them out that's a pain.
before i opened this thread i was conflicted as to whether i should watch an ep of the Simpsons, or read a few threads on AI. I didn't expect to get both. now the urge is overwhelming, i must watch that episode (<a href="http://www.snpp.com/episodes/3F05.html" target="_blank">3f05</a>); i'd link to my copy, but i think that'd violate some kind of ai anti-illegality rules.
Of course the best part is that he only doubled it:
He had to type 'y' 'e' 's' 'Return', otherwise just hitting the 'y' would finish it.
So it follows that he had to type 'y' 'Return'.
Four keystrokes -> two keystrokes = doubling the efficiency.
I know, I know, nobody likes a math geek.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Ahhh - this is where you are mistaken. If you remember, in the episode, Homer figures out that one of those pendulum birds can do his job. The pendulum bird was only hitting one key ('y'), so I believe he did indeed triple his production. Unless of course he had to hit "Enter" when he typed "yes" but not when he typed "y." In that case he did even better - he quadrupled his productivity.
