IIRC, "Fantasia" was the first movie to feature surround sound. Maybe this is the oft-fabled post-oriented Apple DAW?

Ohhh I'd be all over that. I don't need all the musical focus of Logic, or SoundTrack, but I could certainly use an affordable, basic sound design app for more detail than FCP can handle, but not Pro Tools.

Exactly what I'm looking for. To do what I need in Pro Tools would cost $1500, and be limited to stereo only. An upgrade to FCP that enhanced its audio capabilites would be welcome.
