Also, does anyone else only get 3 hours of battery power when on an airport connection. I'm just wondering I average about 2.5-3 hours when I have airport on and 3.5-4 when I'm just working with it off. Everyone post what they get on their battery power, if you don't mind. I'd like to see real numbers just too see, cuz if I have a problem I'll go get me another one.

That's about what I get too. Using the modem is also a big drain (I assume it's the whole analog conversion thing, kinda like how analog mode on a cell phone sucks the battery quicker).

I also, within a month of getting my new TiBook 1GHz machine started getting lots of kernel crashes (every other time that I logged out, to be exact).

A white box would appear onscreen, with text in English, Japanese, etc. explaining that I needed to power-cycle the box.

However, I noticed that my wife wasn't having the same problem (nor was the administrator account). I ended up wiping out the cache in my ~/Library directory, and the system was suddenly stable again.

Since then, I have seen a couple of lockups on waking from sleep and one more white-box-of-death when inserting a PCMCIA CompactFlash adapter (after having just ejected it, because I forgot to do something on it).

    All in all, fairly stable.
