Impossible. If you need to network them together why not use firewire? it works. But I thought you needed a G5 for the distributed stuff to work in Logic?

System Requirements
- Macintosh computer with PowerPC G4 or faster processor (G5 or dual G4 processors recommended) and 512MB of RAM; Logic Node applications require PowerPC G5 and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity
- Mac OS X v10.3 or later
- 4GB of available hard drive space
- DVD drive for software installation
- Available USB port for XSKey (copy protection)
- Low-latency multi-I/O audio hardware and MIDI interface recommended
Reports from osxaudio.com forums is that they have used their laptops and such as well as extra processing for the node application. They have also reported using a 100bit ethernet as well. They have said it works, but there is obviously a bottleneck to it.

Even so, if you happen to have both a desktop and a laptop, and both are at least G4s with 100 Mbit Ethernet, you can already get some benefit from it, as I have.[regarding Node use]
presuming that the sales of it are good, and reviews of it are good... tehn yes, i would say its about that time for an update to get announced, but when is the question...
funny.. ifor a while, i was considering a mac mini... kinda like a server, but still its main function is a computer.. but why would i use the mac mini for a server when i have an imac w/ a lot more space
now, the real reason for buying the mac mini is because im taking my current room computer (windows based) and moving it next to my imac, because i use the windows based machine for strictly gaming.. and my imac and also PB for everything else.. now; i could use my pb in my room, set it up on the icurve, get a mouse and keyboard to it and call it all good... right? but then you take into consideration that my pb is brought to school w/ me... so i need the battery fully charged for school; and i have 2 computers in the other room.... and every soo often, i want a computer in my room for late night chatting/surfing, ect... and thats why i would get a mac mini; people would say that im wasting my money... -nodding my head- they maybe right.. but i wouldnt mind. its a mac and illl have it in my room and i wont be wasting the battery on my pb that i need for school but i still yet to come to a final conlusion; and if i do buy it; im defitnatly waiting for the update which im sure will come

It's that simple.
We're going gah gah over the idea. Just imagine those mini server pictures dancing in our heads.
... how much out of the way would one have to go to upgrade the ethernet port?
