Photoshop 7 is making its way around and it is awesome! From what I have seen it nearly a go for primetime. It seems as fast as 6, if not faster in some areas. Screenshots later

If this has anything to do with the Think Secret report / screen shots, don't bother. They both appear to be bogus based on what I've seen / heard. Either the editor there is really gullible, or he's just full of crap like Meader.

The Think Secret Screenshots and info said it was version 6.5 are you sure it's 7.0?

I think the title of the Think Secret Article was "<a href="http://www.thinksecret.com/features/photoshop7/"; target="_blank">An Inside Look at Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for Mac OS X (with images)</a>"

I just downloaded the beta in question from a Carracho server and just installed it. The splash screen and the installer both claim it is 7.0 and it is indeed quite decent.

It's not as fast as 6.0 running in 9 but it is faster than 6.0 running in Classic (at least for me) for most tasks.

However, I haven't been using it long enough to make a definite judgement though. I'll post more comments as I explore the software.

    My comp is a 400mhz AGP G4 w/ 448mb of RAM running OS X 10.1.1.

    Thanks

Just refresh your trackers and type "Photoshop" into the search box. It's a free server, but I dare not say more. I don't want to condone piracy or anything...oops, too late.

Wait a bit, and there should be a story soon that is right up your alley. A little birdie told me so...

Woo hoooo! Came back here last night and re-checked the two PS threads. Looks like this one is legit after all...at least as far as I can tell from the "dedication" screenshot that was posted for me. What a suspicious bastard I am!

It happens every time. They did the same thing a few months ago with Illustrator 10. Had screenshots and all up for a day or so, then BAM! Adobe's watchdogs...

That HAS to get frustrating...both for Think Secret AND Adobe.

Constant cat-and-mouse antics and chasing them down and sending a letter and having Think Secret pull yet ANOTHER feature, etc.

At some point, Adobe is probably just going to send a package bomb to Think Secret's offices, just to break the silly cycle, once and for all.

Ybot, could you please email me at [email protected] with the ip and login/password (e.g guest/guest) for the server you are talking about? I am new to Carracho and was desperately searching for the right server for 4 hours or so but so far all the servers were either too busy or wanted some stuff in exchange. Thanks!

It's pretty decent. I am really impressed. Other than the use of none Aqua custom widgets like Illustrator.

May I be foolish enough to say out loud:

Those of you who use said server facilities for D/L-ing said illegal copies of software: SHUT YOUR FI_ICKING MOUTHS!!!!

If everybody and their brother logs on then the FBI will be there soon enough . . . LOOK AT THE "DRINK OR DIE" network!!!

Keep it quiet and small...and noone gets hurt.
