Another report of Mac OS X on non-Macs
With photos, on a Dell laptop.
Everything looks perfect; no remote SSL controller in the Dock, perfectly centered About This Mac text, and no especially suspicious cables.
Discuss (if this specific instance has been posted already, sorry)
BTW, "thema" means "topic", not "theme".

those photos made me throw up in my mouth. that is one FUGLY dell laptop. this is a perfect reason why apple should not let os X run on any dell. new asus laptops, maybe, vaio, definitely. dell, fuck off.

-Kein Sound
-Kein Netzwerk
-Keine Quarz Beschleunigung
-Kein PowerManagement
-Kein Apple Feeling
-Keine Apps
Mal schauen was so kommt, vor ein paar Wochen war das noch Unvorstellbar
no sound, no internet, no quarz acceleration, no power management, no applications, no APPLE FEELING.

Computer gutted, screen cables running from a developer box directly to the screen.
it would be so much easier to fake with some video composing.

Video in in the back of the Dell coming off the 12" PB in Clamshell mode.
Good point. Mind you,if I was running the screen of the PB, I'd sure as hell make sure to keep it out of shot.
That said, who knows what might go through the mind of a crazed, deranged, psychotic hoaxer
What is the point of installing OS X when you can't use internet and the rest?

I don't think it's too wild for the Dev version to be "running" on standard commodity systems. I wouldn't expect it to be anything other than a buggy existence though. I also don't think that these hacks mean much one way or the other for the future.
Yes, that was my feeling as well.
Meanwhile, I just need to get my hands on a dev system. Just to run some benchmarks of Apple-made apps.

I'm not surprised since there is support for only one chipset.
