What was wrong with the Cube's vertical structure for DVD/CD ROM I have one of each and they were never a problem. The power brick on the other hand......
I like the verticle mount CD-ROM like on the TAM. I hope they can find someone to make verticle combo drives for them. The new iMac would then kick royal ass

I love these. I need a handh.eld, but I wont buy one until Apple makes one. The iPort is an awesome idea. I hope Apple comes out with something like that. HiPod is pretty cool as well, but it looks like I just wasted $400.00 on an iPod if that were to fruition.
I've seen the WIDEiMaC before, and still love it, but that G5 is MINE!
okay, i'm just gonna go ahead and say it.. i just don't find anything from applele very innovative. shiny doo-dads don't do sh!t for me, but that folding-reverse laptop thing from acorncreative is slick looking and makes you go "oooh" from the design. plus, often, i just don't understand applele's designs. how bout that "R7" picture above. hmmmm.... a slot-loading cd/dvd drive on a unit that looks about 4 inches deep. wow. what a great design for all those foldable cd's.
maybe i am just sick of everyone using applele as the only place for mock-up's.
oh well. i'm just bitching and wasting time until the next apple.com teaser. sigh...
Boy will all the folks with first generation ATI cards be ticked when they find out Apple got OS X running fully supported on THAT "My God, and they managed to make the display color by a mere driver update. After I file my class action suit, I'm going to egg Steve's jet."
That G5 isn't bad at all. I do think the drive bays should higher up and the metal shouldn't look so...barf like.

Have you already forgotten the Cube?

From MOSR.

THought this was cool
+ 3 big bays
+ Oooh, Polished Stainless!
+ designer obviously working toward an "X" idea with the handles
- great big thick plastic impractical for opening the case and somewhat questionable aesthetically.
The iWalk was fake but this is real for sure

That would be the PowerMac G5 if I had any say on the design.
That mockup is Freakin' Fantastic!
That is by far the best G5 idea I've seen.
[edit]Other than the fact it does not look like an easy task to get into it.[edit]

take away the transparent plastic spoilers and it's a nice chrome tower.
