Anyone else here trying to subscribe to any of the Air America shows yet, like the Al Franken Show? (Yeah, I'm a lefty -- deal with it!)

All I'm getting is a little gray circle with a small exclamation mark inside... the same symbol that you see when iTunes can't find the file that goes with one of the music tracks in your iTunes library.

I'm not sure if that means the link is bad, the server is down, or what. Anyone else have any luck here?

I tried one non-Air America show, a science news podcast, and that worked just fine.

Apparently, the only such show that currently works is the Sundance podcast of Al Franken (which is only weekly). All the other Air America podcasts are only available via BitTorrent right now, and iTunes doesn't support BitTorrent, only straight downloads.

Air America will have to offer direct downloads or perhaps use the Coral CDN ( http://www.coralcdn.org/ ) if they want to be compatible with iTunes. IMO I think they will do something soon. Perhaps instead of having a 3rd party provide podcasts (as they currently do) Air America will directly distribute them, and perhaps with some (all?) of the network ads intact to help pay for the bandwidth.

Of course, the ultimate solution would be for iTunes to support BitTorrent, but that probably won't happen until at least iTunes 5.0 comes out (if ever).

Great news. I was looking for this last night, but I could not find out how to do it. I decided to take a break here at work and check the forums. I know what I am going to do when I get home now, because I had to keep iPodderX around due to the fact that I had a few podcasts that were not in iTunes.

By the way, has anyone had any issues with podcasts that use torrents for their feeds? I subscribed to .NET Rocks and Mondays on iTunes, but I get an error when it tries to update them.
