No surprise ... you must feel that unless you disagree with the obvious, no one will pay attention to your posts.
I kind of like Quark.
Like most P.C. users, you obviously have not used it in any professional capacity.
Of course, I've only used it on Dual800 G4s and equivalent PCs
There is no P.C. which comes even close to a Dual800.
I didn't notice much performance nastiness.
It's actually InDesign which currently has the performance problems.
And then here's hoping that the next Quark blows ID2.0 out of the water,
Sorry, but your going to have to wait a couple more versions. Having a policy of releasing a major update every three years, all but solidifies the fact that Quark will one day lose it's dominance in DTP.

You realize, of course, that you can get dual AthlonXP 1800+ for less than a dual 800mhz G4?
You know what? Nevermind, you're right. Macs are the fastest ever, always will be.

Simply stating that I hope the companies top each other every time so the DTP software gets better all the time.

That time of the month for you?</strong><hr></blockquote>
Looks like your the one on the rag ... how in the hell did you take my statement as some sort of spite? The next release of Quark (5) is going to be a release that even M$ would be ashamed of. I simply stated that you would have to wait until at least 6 or 7 to get your wish. Talk about having delicate sensibilities ... perhaps next time I will word my opinions more delicately, by the way .. are you a Texan or a Pussy?

I am betting Quark puts out a 5.1 that is carbon in about 5 months to a year after 5 comes out. Either way it will probably be too late.

You're obviously paying attention to them. I dont really know what brings that hostility, but whatever, cool with me if that's how you like it.

Gee, I can't imagine.

All I was wondering was why you chose to word those things in that manner. Your choice, no skin off my ass if you want to play it like a hard-ass.
Christ, everyone's a tough guy on the internet.

5.0 will come... and 5.1 will be here in '03 They're so slow it's a wonder they still exist. It's not a hard program to write.
