Finally got FCP 3.....
Got it today from local university bookstore. With the help of the staff here who I know I was able to get the academic version even I am only a 'half' student
But man.....those manuals!
Also the funny thing is....I don't even have a video camera
Basically I am using it to edit my animation stuff until I can afford a video camera

That's why I asked my friend who works as staff in there. He can claim he's is buying the software
Anyway....I am still reading the manual.
Basically many key command and the way to get things done are quite similar to version 2, fortunately.
This app is so fu*king stable!
I did play around with the tutorial clips and fool around with layering, text, cross fade. All real time
Too bad I don't personally own a video camera so I can't really work on any 'real' video stuff ....

Final Cut Pro is really multithreaded.
Both processor almost always hit top when I am rendering some filters. Apple actually did a very good job on making FCP using both available processors over 80% of time.
OSX's multitasking is really helping.
I borrow a camera from my friend this morning. I can do the capturing and surf web at the same time without dropping a frame
