I think it's a good fit. They have a young-ish, trendy crowd and the Gap aesthetic seems to match Apple's.
Heck, supplemental logos aside, replace product from one store with product from another and you wouldn't know it wasn't in the right store...except there aren't many changing rooms in Apple Stores!
