Well... HP managed to get a logo on the back on an ipod... can't see why they would deny Intel the same privlidges on a comp... Maybe it'll be on the underside of the comp or somthing.

What'll be the clincher is if they can convience Apple to put the Intel Jingle after the Apple tone...

    DUHHHHHHHH DING DING DA DING!

<<<throws new powerbook out window before getting onto logon screen>>>

    f

(who's going to beat up the first person that has a DUHHHHH DING DING DA DING! ringtone on thier mobile...)

The point is that it's a sticker: if you like/don't mind it, then you leave it alone. If you do mind, then take it off. Everyone here is getting far too worked up over something that might not even happen.

And no, buying a mac (or any computer) isn't trivial, but you'd have to be a complete idiot if your decision to purchase was decided by a sticker.

For those of you who think this is a trivial matter, do yourselves a favour; don't ever attempt a career in manufacturing, design or marketing.

For the same reason Apple pays big bucks to have aesthetically beautiful and unique products.

Now that's the smart way of looking at it.

Either way, if having a stupid sticker or marking that says your computer has an intel product inside is your biggest problem, then there is much more that worries me...

Its not the customer's problem you moron. its an Apple brand problem. Try and get the right end of the stick.

    Vinney,

I don't think you quite grasp which stick he's talking about.

I work at apple. we're definately NOT putting intel stickers on any next-generation Macs - That would look silly... Rather, the new computers will be machined from a solid block of itanium in the shape of the "Intel Inside" Logo.

LOL! In fact, the Intel Inside is engraved in the case - the Apple logo is a sticker, though; if you peel it off, there is a Dell logo underneath!

If it is removable, and saves me $50 then put two of them on it. I can always take them off and bank the money.
