Keep your Final Cut Pro CD in a safe place
I lost my FCP 3 CD
And phoned to Apple and asked for the cost of replacement CD. For CD only replacement including shipping to Canada is $36 US.
Not too bad....but still kind of 'expensive' for only a CD.
If they don't encrypt the CD I wouldn't have to spend this money.....

My friend wanted to see how the app runs on her DA 733 G4. Since the CD is not copyable I went to her place with my CD.
But there was a big mess in her place....I was cleaning up her place with her....and I accidentally threw the CD
I am not joking
<strong>Gotta say thankyou to my friend

I once threw out a hundred bucks if it makes you feel any better
-line from the Simpsons, guess who said it and in what context?
Things went full circle, and my sister ended up paying for a new one
Anyway, I believe that Toast can do a bit-per-bit copy of cds, ignoring any encryption there may be on it. I know, for windows, that Nero lets you do that. So maybe you cant make an image of it, but you can at least make a hard copy.
