What if they do not raise the price at all for the feature. The iMac had many many features added but the price did not go up. I think Apple just really wants to have there iChat and Video confrencing become more mainstream (it is one of the many things that sets it apart from windows) so they are willing to include iSight with some products.
Most people would probably prefer cheaper displays.

Yep and the imac display now beats the cinema displays in brightness and contrast ratio.
