C'mon hmurchison, we're waiting to hear an update on what you think of today's news.

Holy crap <I know..how eloquent> I knew tape was going to fall off but I had no idea that the industry was going to move from tape to HDD and DVD so quickly. I'm not keen on the SD recording but it's paving the way for some nice HD HDD cams.
Thinksecret is wrong on the price of Red. Jim Jannard has not alluded to a 200K camera although it certainly sounds like it's worth it.
Final Cut Extreme. Come on video guys know this product could happen. There are plenty of things Apple could do to create the uber product. Build in XSAN, seriously beef up the media manager making it networked and stored in a database format that all apps utilize, different codecs in the timeline. Blu Ray authoring and iHD authoring. Shake 5 with more 3D, Motion Pro with z axis. Why not take a run at Avid at the high end. Maybe we'll see that mythical 64 bit DAW that we're heard rumors about. That could seal the deal on a 10k tour de force.
Great pickup. For those that don't know Graeme has his own site which sells his plugins which are underpriced for what they do. He's a top notch cookie and I'm excited that he's going to be helping RED with their RAW workflow and other stuff. What an opportunity to become a member of a camera that could indeed open new doors for indie movie production.

Graeme Nattress is in the mix as well. He must be under NDA cuz he's been kinda quiete lately about RED. Tsk Tsk these lucky souls.
