I'll continue to buy Apple if they throw shit stickers, even very easily removed ones, on the computers.
However, I would also pay more, probably even $50 more on top of the large sum I've already paid, to not have to worry about my Mac looking like ghetto schlock out of the box.
That whole moment when you're unpackaging your new Mac rules. I would have cringed had I unwrapped this sexy 20" iMac only to find a hideous "Intel Inside" hood tag on it, no matter how easy it was to take off.
Incidently, why would Intel even consider a deal that has stickers on Macs that are so easy to remove, the wind from an eye blink would knock it off?
Seems like a gross waste of funds.

Steve,
You'll find that check for $7,635,192,351,927,835 we negotiated enclosed in the envelope accompanying this letter.
As per our prior conversations, we fully expect Apple to comply with standard Intel marketing strategy and place Intel stickers on each computer manufactured from now until termination of our agreement.
But just to spice things up and really get people thinking, make them peel off easier than Jenna Jameson's wardrobe on a closed set. We like paying for marketing materials that we then encourage people to make waste of. It's kind of our "new thing."
Love,
Intel
PS -
You owe us $50. We TOLD you the stooges would start calling them Mactel/MacIntels!!!!!
Even then, it's likely to leave a stain or something. I've worked with "sticker-ed" laptops and desktops long enough to know I wouldn't want something like that for myself. Clearly, such products were designed with money in mind, not with the customer.
can you believe my AMD processor-in-box didn't come with any stickers!? i would have happily plastered "AMD-Ahtlon64" all over my pc rig...... especially being able to run windows xp-pro-64bit, it's a much much better build overall than winxp32 (game compatibility sometimes compromised though)
(blatant cross-post) remember they can't call it iBook g4, g5 or g6. they have to call it... iBook CORE ... here's a slice off iSteve's presentation. by me.
a classy grey "intel duo core" or "intel core" is feasible on the manuals or on a corner of the box. yes that is possible. certainly not a sticker slapped onto the front or even side of the intel mac machine
...actually if we are talking about manuals or packaging, then i wonder if there is a classy version of the Yonah logo that could go with the apple one.... hmmm... i'll see if i can mockup somethin'
these two logos go together like applepie and thumbtacks... or... maybe not??? OMG maybe i am getting so used to intel in apple!!
for one thing the intel logo BEVEL is totally crappy and cheesy
What about at start up you still have the Apple logo, but instead of the dial that is under it the logo has the intel band going around it with a "glare" circling it. When the glare is behind the logo the Intel name appears and when the glare is in front the Intel name is not visible, or just barely.
Since people are betting on whether or not Apple Intel stickers will be on the computers, has anyone checked with Las Vegas to see if they are taking bets?
