The whole Mac / PC issue is a "catch 22," no matter how much people know, and no matter how much advertising is done, there will always be those on 'both' sides of the fence, or in each camp, professing 'their' platform is the best \.

Well, I believe there are two reasons:
1. OS9 sucked so badly that it's what many PC users have in their minds, and they haven't seen OS X.
2. Some Mac users are really kind of weird.
