Have started reworking my site in iWeb '08. Added a couple of Google Maps, reformatted the slideshows and added a Blog.

Hoping to find some more useful widgets (rollovers, slideshows in single panels, pulldown menus) to make the site even nicer.

Is it possible to have some pages on your .mac web site that have no links on them to the other pages on your site? And if so, how does one accomplish this?

The reason I ask is my site current has six pages dealing with my part-time wedding day videography business.

I would like to put up a similar site with a couple of pages but have it deal only with the still photography I am also getting into. Just don't want any links between the two sites right now. But whenever I try this I cannot seem to get rid of each page showing links to the other pages at the top of the screens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Slackula, in iWeb open the page where you don't want the links at the top of the page. In the inspector window, choose the page tab (second from the left) and untick the "Display navigation window" and "Include page in navigation window" check boxes.

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to give that a whirl. Though I have used .mac's Homeopage feature, I have not yet used iWeb. I wonder if your suggestion and the .mac setup will work they way I would like it to on this as I want two sets of pages, each with links to just others in the set. I may just opt to take the easy way out and sign up for a separate .mac account for the still photography business.

    Thanks again!

I just got myself a .Mac account just one week ago. I must say that it´s pretty fun trying out iWeb.

I am going to make a photo page, but first I have to get myself a camera :P

Hi I was wondering if you guys knew of any free web hosting sites which offer free domain registration and usage. I really want a free hosting site that will work with iweb. Let me know if you have any ideas.

I initially used Bravenet for their free hit counter before I discovered their other services, but junked it and went with the far superior statcounter.

Thanks! I'll try them out. I plan make a website in iweb to host my technology podcast and this will be great. Thanks!

If you've published a site with iWeb, let's see it. I'd love to get ideas from others and see what this app is actually capable of.

I'm most interested in migrating content from a Homepage over to an iWeb site and find out how well it works and how it looks.

newbie forum person please forgive any errors in etiquette (thanks)

just built and published a website using iweb

like it a lot better than the last site that someone built for us (another story)

site works well on the mac but not consistently on the pc

i get an "error on page" message re the music loading but it loads fine on the mac?

    here's the site:

    www.onestringcello.com

if you recognize this problem and know of a fix = very much a big thank you

I just started messing with iWeb yesterday as well. I went ahead and started something since I have .Mac and it works perfectly! It's all very simple and could become a great program, it's great for people who are just getting started. If you want to drop by the site, just check it out here: http://web.mac.com/mmendoza27

My apologies--Certainly did not intend for it to sound like a promotion! But there have been other posts about iWeb sites having issues or behaving strangely when uploaded to non-Apple hosting companies (i.e., non-.Mac accounts). This would seem to be a big concern for anyone using iWeb who doesn't have or want a .Mac account, or who wants more server space than what comes with a typical .Mac account. It's not a promotion for myself of Bluehost--this is a free country, do as you wish--but for me personally, I was expecting the iWeb pages to behave strangely when uploaded to Bluehost, but was surprised to find no issues. So far, so good.
